چکیده

Three dimensional models play an important role in many applications; the problem is how to select the appropriate models from a 3D database rapidly and accurately. In recent years, a variety of shape representations, statistical methods, and geometric algorithms have been proposed for matching 3D shapes or models. In this paper, we propose a 3D shape representation scheme based on a combination of principal plane analysis and dynamic programming. The proposed 3D shape representation scheme consists of three steps. First, a 3D model is transformed into a 2D image by projecting the vertices of the model onto its principal plane. Second, the convex hall of the 2D shape of the model is further segmented into multiple disjoint triangles using dynamic programming. Finally, for each triangle, a projection score histogram and moments are extracted as the feature vectors for similarity searching. Experimental results showed the robustness of the proposed scheme, which resists translation, rotation, scaling, noise, and destructive attacks. The proposed 3D model retrieval method performs fairly well in retrieving models having similar characteristics from a database of 3D models. 2006 Pattern Recognition Society. Dynamic Modeling of the Electromyographic and Masticatory Force Relation Through Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System Principal Dynamic Mode Analysis

Introduction: Researchers have employed surface electromyography (EMG) to study the human masticatory system and the relationship between the activity of masticatory muscles and the mechanical features of mastication. This relationship has several applications in food texture analysis, control of prosthetic limbs, rehabilitation, and teleoperated robots. Materials and Methods: In this paper, w...

Multi-view 3D retrieval using silhouette intersection and multi-scale contour representation

We describe in this paper two methods for 3D shape indexing and retrieval that we apply on two data collections of the SHREC SHape Retrieval Contest 2007: Watertight models and 3D CAD models. Both methods are based on a set of 2D multi-views after a pose and scale normalization of the models using PCA and the enclosing sphere. In all views we extract the models silhouettes and compare them pair...

A Real-time and Registration-free Framework for Dynamic Shape Instantiation

Real-time 3D navigation during minimally invasive procedures is an essential yet challenging task, especially when considerable tissue motion is involved. To balance image acquisition speed and resolution, only 2D images or low-resolution 3D volumes can be used clinically. In this paper, a real-time and registration-free framework for dynamic shape instantiation, generalizable to multiple anato...

A DSS-Based Dynamic Programming for Finding Optimal Markets Using Neural Networks and Pricing

One of the substantial challenges in marketing efforts is determining optimal markets, specifically in market segmentation. The problem is more controversial in electronic commerce and electronic marketing. Consumer behaviour is influenced by different factors and thus varies in different time periods. These dynamic impacts lead to the uncertain behaviour of consumers and therefore harden the t...

A Dynamic Human Model using Hybrid 2D-3D Representations in Hierarchical PCA Space

We propose a novel framework for a hybrid 2D-3D dynamic human model with which robust matching and tracking of a 3D skeleton model of a human body among multiple views can be performed. We describe a method that measures the image ambiguity at each view. The 3D skeleton model and the correspondence between the model and its 2D images are learnt using hierarchical principal component analysis. T...
